I am delighted that you have taken the time to browse the website, and learn more about the services offered at Finding the Foundation. It is my belief that mental health is a key component to holistic wellness, and counseling services are important for all. Holistic wellness involves taking care of ones Mind, Body, and Soul; not excluding one from the other.
My background in mental health treatment is diverse; I have worked with a variety of clientele in both residential and outpatient settings . I have experience working with adolescents and juveniles, adult individuals, couples, as well as family systems and people suffering from addictions. My passion for customized mental heath service is the reason that Finding the Foundation was created. Customized therapy tailors the counseling experience to each individual and their unique needs; meeting each person where they stand and walking with them at an appropriate pace.
Identifying the factors that lie beneath the surface yet affect daily behaviors is vital to making real change. My approach utilizes therapeutic assignments, and encourages the client to look within. Years ago I recognized the benefit of combining therapeutic exercise / homework with individual therapy and found that doing so was most successful in helping clients understand their core issue(s). Therapeutic homework helps the client gauge their treatment progress and promotes action outside of the counseling session.
My goal is to help you reach your goals while traveling with you on the most important journey of your life- the journey of self discovery and resolve. I will challenge you to achieve the goals you identify and encourage you to participate in a treatment plan designed especially for you.
Kudos to you for taking the first step on this self-paced journey,
I look forward to meeting with you soon~
